Crime started with the Labour Government, it spread to the people, and now the Police force has caught the disease. Yes, in 1991 there were few crimes. By 1994 the labour Government was heavily involved in crime with the murders of Sydney Morris’ son, the disappearance of Billy Herbert and finally with the gunning down of Jude Matthew. With the positive results for labour from those successful murders, the gangs quickly realized the benefits of murder and robbery in St Kitts. The police have now decided that it is better to join the crime wave than to fight it. No doubt the recent police criminal is a Labour man. They feel that the country belongs to them and what they can’t acquire by honest means they must cheat and rob for. We see the same practice in the manner in which Douglas conducts elections.
The nation is crying out for attention to crime. The youth are yearning for guidance on moral building and civilized behavior but Denzil Douglas and company are turning a deaf ear because neither they nor their families have been affected as yet. When Douglas’ political future or ability to make millions of dollars is affected by gang related crime only then will he pay attention to the losses which others, both families and businesses alike, have suffered. Many believe that when some white big shot at the Marriott is held up and threatened to shut down the hotel, only then will Douglas come out of his slumber.
Bruce Golding was in a slumber for many years until his political future was affected by the likes of Christopher Dudas Coke. Crime meant nothing to Bruce Golding just as it means nothing to Douglas at this present time but like Golding Douglas’ turn will come. Old people say that night run ‘til day catch it. Douglas’ day is soon approaching.
The robberies of the Royal Bank, Brewery and Brisbane trucks, the jockey (of the entire payroll) and the other crimes of last week are only the prelude to bigger things. Life is becoming difficult under this administration and the youth want to live the life promised by Douglas. Employment is down and businesses are laying off all because of the Labour Government’s fiscal policies of the past years. They were warned but they continued to spend the people’s money blindly. Now the people have no recourse but to find money by crime. Businesses are the new targets which Douglas is unable or unwilling to protect, just as he was unwilling to protect the innocents against the guns of the murderers. Douglas is safe from attack as he has no business; all of his money is in real estate. Then there is Lex Consulting LLC. Must it take an attack on the casino at Marriott or against one of the big shots there will get Douglas’ attention?
No one is wishing for crime against any one or any hotel but this Labour government is encouraging such by chronic inaction against the criminal activities going on in this country. Prime Minister Douglas boasted about his criminal freedom fighters in 1993 and 1994 and now they have evolved into a force for bad against the all citizens and businesses of this nation. Labour created the freedom fighters. The Labour Party armed and trained many of the young criminals then. Those same guns and training will eventually be used against the leaders and only then the fight against crime will begin. Just as Bruce Golding is now learning to fight crime in his Jamaica. He who feels it knows it. Eventually, Douglas will feel it.
