This was the Love Week and it ends on Valentine’s Day (Saturday). While some are turning their backs on it saying that one should show love every day of the week and every week of the month and every month of the year (and they do have a point), others are happy to bask in the warm glow that comes with this amorous period. It is a pity though that the focus is mainly on love between sexes, the ‘amorous’ type of love and not many see it as an opportunity to glory in all types of love. For instance, maternal and paternal love, love of sisters and brother, aunts and uncles and the love of family.

And what about the love of pets and of plants. No uprooting of trees especially this week! And no stoning or kicking of dogs and no throwing the cat out of the window.
