DC Comics has confirmed that the Superman of Jon Kent is bisexual and that in the near Cartoon DC Comics, titled Superman: Son of Kal-El, we will witness his coming out. Fans for a long time have suspected that Jon was queer, and now the confirmation has arrived. The current Superman is Jon Kent, son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. In the first images from the comic, readers can first encounter the love interest of young Kent: Jay Nakamura, a journalist.
Jon Kent became the new Superman after his father Clark Kent left Earth to stop Mongul and free a group of people enslaved on Warworld. In his absence, he passed the baton to Jon, who proved to be the right man for the job.
This volume will show the burgeoning friendship between Jon and Jay that will soon become romantic after the reporter provides moral support to the Man of Steel. The boy feels mentally and physically exhausted from trying to keep everyone safe in his new vigilante role. Like his father, Jon also falls in love with a character with a passion for journalism.
Not surprisingly, the news of Superman’s bisexuality came on National Coming Out Day.

Superman Falls In Love With His Friend Jay Nakamura
“I’ve always said that everyone needs heroes and everyone deserves to see themselves in their heroes and I’m very grateful that DC and Warner Bros. share this idea,” said writer Tom Taylor. “The Superman symbol has always been synonymous with hope, truth and justice. Today that symbol represents something more. Today, more people can see themselves in the most powerful superhero in comics”.
The comic that encompasses Superman’s coming out as a bisexual person will tell about Jon’s stress and frustration until he too realizes he needs a hero of his own. It was recently teased that Robin is also questioning his sexuality. However, the topic will only be explored further in the December issue of the Urban Legends comic.
