Loki Season 2: Things Every Fan Must Know

“Loki” was a huge success for Marvel and of course for the parent company Disney. The show broke record after record and was – for the most part – very well received by the critics. Season 2 is supposed to be pretty awesome , the series maker has already revealed that much in an interview.

In fact, the violent cliffhanger at the end of season 1 left a lot of questions unanswered and offers a lot of potential for at least one more season about the god of discord. What will “Loki” season 2 be about? Who will be in the cast? And when can we expect the new episodes? We have gathered all the answers to these questions for you.

When Is The Second Season Of “Loki” Coming?

So far, there is no official release date from Disney. However, Production Weekly already wrote that “Loki” Season 2 will start production in January 2022. If that is the case, then we can expect the series to be streamed on Disney Plus with new episodes in late 2022 or early 2023.

With the second season of “Loki” announced so early by Marvel – and the first rumors of a sequel to the series surfaced earlier this year – it could even be that we can expect the new episodes even sooner. With a bit of luck, that means that “Loki” season 2 could start in summer 2022. That is of course very optimistic, but we keep our fingers crossed.

Who Is In The Cast For “Loki” Season 2?

Also on this point there is still no official report, neither from Marvel nor from Disney. But purely from the end of the first season, we can almost certainly assume that the following characters and actors will be back at the start:

  • Tom Hiddleston as Loki
  • Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer
  • Wunmi Moscow as Hunter B-15
  • Owen Wilson as Mobius M Mobius
  • Sophia Di Marino as Sylvie

Of course we strongly hope that the Loki variants will also appear again. After all, a Loki’s motto is always to survive. So we could see Jack Veal as “Kid Loki” and Richard E Grant as “Classic Loki”.

Even if Grant’s character apparently sacrificed his life in the course of the last few episodes, the actor teased that we could get to see his Loki again. “Anything is possible,” he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight and that he “would n’t say no ” if asked to return.
