Sex Education has been renewed for a fourth season on Netflix. In September, the platform announced the news via the TUDUM global event: A NETFLIX GLOBAL FAN EVENT which was live-streamed on Youtube, Twitter, and Twitch.
Although season 3 was only released recently, many were sure that the series would be renewed. Already during 2020, there was the curiosity to know the future of the TV series, beyond the confirmed third chapter.
Collider, for example, on the occasion of a chat with Gillian Anderson focused mainly on The Crown 4, the interviewer could not help but reserve a question for the actress. In particular, the interviewer had pointed out that many Netflix originals had ended after three seasons.
Replying to the same, Anderson’s said:
It’s been talked about, and given how much people enjoy the show, I don’t see why they shouldn’t, but things change. Things change daily at Netflix as we speak. Therefore, the decision rests only with the people in charge of everything at the end of the fair.
Netflix’s decision was never too late to arrive when it came to the TV series with Asa Butterfield, and once again, the news of the renewal arrived timely.
